Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances. 1 Thess. 5:17-18
1. Wednesday: The Ethiopian church had a special conference in January. We thank God for working in people’s lives. Pray that the seed of God’s Word will grow in their hearts. Pastor: Yohannes Engida.
2. Thursday: Jim and Jacqie Wiseman have been looking for a building in the core area of Winnipeg for several months. Please pray for a suitable building for the ministry of Walls of Freedom.
3. Friday: A team from the Steinbach MB Church is travelling to Guadalajara, Mexico, today for a 10-day mission trip. Pray for safety and meaningful ministry in the churches and orphanage. Family Ministries Pastor couple: Mike and Cheryl Kehler.
4. Saturday: We are invited to take courage from God’s loving faithfulness. Isaiah 43.
5. Sunday: Members of the Justice MB Church are gathering for their church meeting today. Pray for joy for all who are serving in various ministries. Moderator: Paul. Pastor: Gerry Harms.
6. Monday: Students at SOUL (School of Urban Leadership) are learning about the “theology of the church”. Pray that their understanding and love for the church will grow. Teacher: Elton DaSilva.
7. Tuesday: Bob Hay is serving as the faithful leader of Grace Church in Cranberry Portage. Pray for strength for Bob and also for speakers who can come and preach on Sundays.
8. Wednesday: Manfred and Shannon Boller, pastor couple in Newton, are hoping to move into their new home in Oakville soon. Pray for a smooth transition as they settle in and get to know people in this town.
9. Thursday: Believers in Thompson are focusing on marriage on Feb. 10-12 and participating in the date night challenge webcast with Greg Smalley. Pray for love, respect, and forgiveness to grow in marriages. Pastor couple: Ted and Mary Goossen.
10. Friday: Pray for wisdom for leaders at a workshop this weekend as they develop ways of assisting leaders and congregations who are involved in deep-rooted conflict. Conference Pastor: Keith Poysti.
11. Saturday: Let’s delight in God as we remember his amazing faithfulness in our individual lives and in the life of the church. Isaiah 43.
12. Sunday: The Eritrean Church is passionate about evangelism. Praise God for Berhe who is serving as an evangelist and reaching his own people for Jesus.
13. Monday: “Mercy Triumphs” is the promise of the Women’s Bible Study at Fort Garry MB Church on the book of James. Pray for rich times of learning and growing together. Leader: Val.
14. Tuesday: Today Salem Community Bible Church is focusing on the “basics of true love”. Pray that God will bless and encourage them with his love. Speaker: Elton DaSilva. Pastor couple: Arno and Lena Fast.
15. Wednesday: Praise God for his everlasting love for each one of us. Pray that his love will touch and transform people in our home church and community.
16. Thursday: During this time without a pastor, Arisnel, Katherina, and Ken are preaching at the French church. Pray for God’s guidance as they prepare for Sunday sermons.
17. Friday: Pray that unity and love for each other will grow at Fourth Avenue Bible Church in Niverville, so that God will be glorified. Pastor couple: Abe and Kathy Klassen.
18. Saturday: What is God asking us to leave behind? Pray for discernment and the courage to trust God. Isaiah 43.
19. Sunday: Riel Day is a challenge for homeless people, because many of the places they go to stay warm are closed. Pray for the House Blend Ministries team as they provide a safe, warm place for them tomorrow. Pastor: Rachel Twigg Boyce.
20. Monday: Though Simonhouse Lake is still frozen, Simonhouse Camp director Darrell Janzen is starting to look for staff for this summer. Please pray for a full and dedicated team.
21. Tuesday: On Tuesdays the gym at the Westwood Church becomes a skate park for youth from the community. Pray for good rapport and conversations about God with the skate boarders. Youth Pastor: Terry Doerksen.
22. Wednesday: Pray for North Kildonan MB Church as they prepare to host Assembly delegates from Manitoba MB churches March 2-3. We give thanks for their willing service. Pastor: Victor Neufeld.
23. Thursday: McIvor MB Church is welcoming and commissioning Les Riediger as the Community Care Pastor on Sunday, Feb. 26. Pray for Les and Marilyn as they get to know people in this congregation.
24. Friday: “Salt and Light” is the focus of the ladies retreat at Richmond Park MB Church in Brandon this weekend.
Praise God for the women who want to be God’s light in this world. Speaker: Cynthia Frazer.
25. Saturday: Let’s pray for eyes to see the new thing that God is doing among us. Isaiah 43.
26. Sunday: Christian Family Center is celebrating the baptism of new people today and a time of church covenanting. May God’s love and blessing rest on each person in this congregation. Pastors: Edgar French, Cynthia Frazer.
27. Monday: We thank God for the Chinese church in South Winnipeg at Fort Garry MB Church. God has blessed this church with leaders who want to bring people to Jesus. Pastor couple: Luc and Hoa Tran.
28. Tuesday: Praise God for Gilles, moderator of the Crossroads MB Church, who is working to lead this church in a godly manner and direction.
29. Wednesday: Members of the Eastview Church are serving breakfast to hungry kids at the Hampstead School. Pray that the food and friendships will nurture these children. Outreach Pastor: Greg Armstrong.
