Upcoming Nuts & Bolts EventPastoral Training Fund
Since 2014, MBCM has provided pastors and leaders with scholarships and bursaries supporting further education in theological studies. MBCM budgets money annually towards this fund which pastors can apply for. Wondering if you or your staff are eligible? Apply for BursariesCredentialing Processes
The credentialing process is a key element in the formation of what we often describe as a “covenant relationship” with the provincial and national MB family. Credentialing establishes the foundation for mutual care and mutual obligations between the local leader and the provincial and national MB family. In credentialing, the leader commits to shared theological and ethical convictions as articulated in the MB Confession of Faith (1999; 2021), to shared mission, and to shared relationships of accountability and support.

MB Graduate Theological Education
We have a 3-year affiliation with MB Seminary, CCMBC and CMU to continue offering a Manitoba Mennonite Brethren pathway in graduate-level training. Students have a Mennonite Brethren faculty advisor and are still eligible for CMU Graduate School of Theology and Ministry scholarships and bursaries.

The Mennonite Brethren workshops at their annual Assembly offer a diverse range of engaging sessions, covering topics from biblical teachings to practical ministry applications. The Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Church Equip conference is a dynamic and enriching event designed to equip individuals with practical tools and spiritual insights to strengthen their faith and ministry. Attending the Church Equip conference provides a valuable opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from experienced speakers and practitioners, and be part of a supportive community that seeks to grow and serve together in faith.
Canadian Mennonite University’s annual renew conference is a gathering of pastors and church leaders of many backgrounds to explore topics that will strengthen them and their ministries. Participants come together to worship, receive Bible teaching, hear experts, learn skills, discuss ministry stories, and fellowship with other ministers and leaders. Attending renew offers a unique opportunity to gain fresh perspectives, foster personal growth, be inspired to contribute to God’s mission, and make meaningful connections.
MBCM has been a part of the planning and development of SBC’s Leadership Development Conference for many years. SBC is an important school to many of our churches and is considered a partner agency to MBCM. We have built a solid relationship with the SBC administration and hope to carry that on into the future.
