Job Description
We are seeing an Interim Youth Pastor to help guide youth in Christ-centred discipleship as a way of life and promote mission and service as an expression of our community’s character.
Vision: The vision for the youth program is to encourage students to deepen and strengthen their relationship with God. We have a variety of students from all walks of life, with vastly different understandings of Christianity and faith. The first goal is to bring the simple truth of the Gospel to the kids. We want them to know that Jesus loves them and died on the cross for their sins, allowing for a deeper relationship with God the Father, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Another important piece of our ministry is allowing space for challenging questions about faith. Our goal has never been for kids to blindly follow Christian beliefs, but to test them because we believe the gospel and Bible stand to the test. By encouraging thoughtfulness, the hope is that the kids’ belief in Jesus becomes genuine and has been created on a strong foundation which will ground them in the years to come.
