Develop and implement the strategic plan for MBCM, to further our vision and mobilize our churches in shared mission, shared relationships, and shared convictions of our Canadian MB Confession of Faith.

Serve under the leadership and accountability of the Provincial Leadership Board which embodies the collective will of the Provincial Assembly.

Lead churches in their understanding of the role of MBCM and develop collaborative engagement and participation in a shared vision for Manitoba and beyond.

Provide leadership to provincial events, including Assembly, Pastor’s retreat, and Council of Representatives (Regional Meeting).

Oversee and manage conference finances, facilities, and resources.

Maintain and grow healthy relationships and partnerships with all MBCM churches.

Collaborate with and support MBCM partners, including Multiply, MB Seminary, Simonhouse, CMU, SBC, MBCI, Square One Media, MDS, MCC, and Eden Health.

Mobilize people and resources for MBCM in a way that further develops leaders for deepening relationships, collaboration, professional development, prayer, etc.

Work with the MBCM Director of Church Ministry to assist our churches in crises, conflict situations, leadership transitions, or other situations as needed or requested.

Serve on the CCMBC National Ministry Team (NMT), representing MBCM to CCMBC, and participate in CCMBC events (EQUIP, National Assembly, AGM, etc.).

Facilitate MBCM’s participation in the four priority areas of the CCMBC CUSP to build a strong provincial-national alignment that will lead us forward in mission.

Provide direction, oversight and development to staff to meet the objectives of the strategic plan.

Report to the Board and work together with the Board in governance, compliance, and strategic direction.

Maintain regular meetings with the MBCM moderator to discuss ongoing issues and concerns, strategic plans, and board agenda.

Maintain monthly meetings with the MBCM Treasurer to review monthly financial reports.

A strong and continually growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, someone who humbly continues to pursue the character of Jesus.

A proven record of collaborative leadership, preferably in an MBCM/CCMBC ministry setting.

A passion for and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the MBCM.

A personal commitment to and theological vision for the Canadian MB Confession of Faith.

Strong interpersonal relationship skills that demonstrate the ability to encourage, motivate, and mentor others.

Strong conflict resolution skills that show respect, openness, and grace when faced with interpersonal tensions and disagreements.

The ability to build consensus and promote a shared vision among diverse stakeholders.

A strong understanding and appreciation for Board governance, policy and procedures that will support the mission of MBCM.

10+ years in church, para-church or other ministry, preferably at least a portion of this in a senior leadership role.

A credentialed leader with MBCM/CCMBC or willing to complete credentialing as a part of the hiring process.

A graduate Degree in a related field is preferred.

Hours: Full-time position and eligible for regular benefits and pension as per CCMBC HR policy.
Wage: Commensurate with the position and experience of the candidate.

Requirements:
Most of the Provincial Director's duties are performed in typical office settings. The office is located at 1310 Taylor Ave, Winnipeg. The Provincial Director role requires a moderate about of travel, within and beyond Manitoba, in order to fulfil these responsibilities.
Limitations:
To accomplish the responsibilities of the position within budgetary restraints and as defined by the MBCM bylaws and operational policies.

Provincial Director Search
The Provincial Director will provide overall leadership to the Mennonite Brethren Church of Manitoba (MBCM) and will oversee all areas of Conference ministry and operations. The Provincial Director is responsible for developing the vision and strategic plan for MBCM and provides senior leadership to implement the strategy through policies, programs, and ministries that equip, resource and inspire the MB churches of Manitoba.This position reports directly to the Provincial Leadership Board. The Provincial Director also serves on the National Ministry team leading MBCM’s role in the CCMBC Collaborative Unified Strategic Plan (CUSP) through shared participation in four priority areas: spiritual health & theology, leadership development, mission, and organizational health.
