Embracing Transitions with Faith and Purpose

As a new year begins, it’s natural to reflect on seasons of change and the lessons they bring. For MBCM, the past year was marked by transitions that called for courage, adaptability, and trust in God’s plan. Jason’s journey into the role of Interim Provincial Director captures the heart of what it means to step into the unexpected and navigate challenges with faith and purpose.

When Jason took on the role after the resignation of the previous provincial director,Cam Priebe, it wasn’t something he had planned. Yet, as the need arose, he felt a deep sense of responsibility to ensure that the mission of MBCM—supporting and equipping churches—remained steady. "Saying no didn’t mean the work would disappear," he reflected. Instead, Jason chose to step forward, not because the role was easy, but because the work mattered.

The transition was not without its challenges. Leading in a time of change meant making adjustments, filling gaps, and staying focused on what truly matters. With the support of his team, including collaborative planning with Cam, Jason approached the role with intentionality, ensuring that MBCM’s efforts to strengthen churches were rooted in care and purpose.

Amid the challenges, there were moments of joy and encouragement. Jason spoke about welcoming a new church into the MBCM family and hearing inspiring stories of how congregations were thriving in their missions.

Reflecting on this season, Jason emphasized the strength he found in community. The prayers, encouragement, and genuine care of those around him were invaluable. “Isolation is a real risk in leadership,” he shared, “but the gift of a supportive community makes all the difference.” This time deepened his appreciation for relationships and reinforced the value of walking alongside others in ministry.

Through it all, Jason was reminded of God’s faithfulness. Whether in times of stress, success, or failure, he experienced the steady presence of a God who works in all things. This perspective brought patience and clarity, allowing him to see how God was at work, even in unexpected ways.

As he looks to the year ahead, Jason finds inspiration in Ephesians 4, which calls believers to live a life worthy of their calling. His hope is that churches across MBCM will embrace the gifts and relationships God has given them, growing together in unity and maturity. Whether navigating challenges or celebrating victories, his vision is for churches to thrive in their mission to bring God’s love to their communities.

This new season for MBCM is not just about change—it’s about growth and stepping into the opportunities God has prepared. As Jason’s journey reminds us, even in the midst of uncertainty, there is hope, and there is purpose.
